Holoholona Mana Kia'i - The Nature Spirit
Shamans all over the world understood the connection between humand and animal existence. All the animals were the expressions of Nature Spirit.
Shamans were interested in creating the relationships with animals for gaining help and support as the result. Shamans were deeply interested in awakening Animal Nature witin ownself as well.
In shamanic reality animals are a communication channels. They warn, help and protect. In Hawaiian traditions Animals can represent the protection of Aumakua.
On Hawaii some animals have a special meaning for people, who live with them in close relationship: Honu - the turtle, Kohala - Whale, Mano - sharks and dolphins, Hahalua - manta rei.
In Hawaiian traditions knows is a deep frienship, which was develop in old time between humans and sharks. They were helping people during fishing, showing the directions - as we can listen in many Hawaiian legends. The presence of an Owl was treated with great attention. The I'o had the great reputation as bringing good messages.
Forgetting about Nature, we lose conncection with our genetic heritate. Buiding the connection with Nature, we activate existing within us abilities and skills, which can help us function in human reality.
